Making its debut at the Malaysian Super Series, the Supercompact Championship will have
a starting grid of 12 cars for its inaugural race at the opening round of the series at
Sepang Circuit this weekend.
Chief organiser Jeffry Jamaluddin, however, believes the total number of entries would at
least double in Round 2 next month; saying that most of the competitors were still in the
process of preparing their cars for the championship.

Teaming up with Kumpulan Karangkraft in their search for the new Dewi Remaja, ERL added a touch of glamour by selecting its very own brand ambassador - Duta Remaja ERL 2006 from among the 22 contestants who vied for the Dewi Remaja crown.
Before the start of the event, guests were treated to a brief parade of ERL\'s Kebaya Batik uniform by its female front-line staff. This Kebaya uniform by local designer Azizul Ahmad will be donned by ERL female staff for all official functions.
Speaking at the celebration, Dr Aminuddin Adnan, CEO said, \"You may ask what ERL & Dewi Remaja have in common - We are both young, enthusiastic, vibrant, and ready to surge ahead. Leveraging on Brand Ambassadors does help to elevate the image of a product or service.\" He added, \"The Brand Ambassador will help us to publicise ERL\'s future developments and enhancements to our products and services, such as our free-porter service, our VIP service and the Discover Putrajaya Package.\"

challenging longtime rival Eric Yeo and the Supersaloon Championship in the Malaysian
Super Series this season, which opens at Sepang Circuit this weekend.
Driving a fully-modified Honda Integra DC5 for Team Golden Sun JC Racing this year, Jimmy
is optimistic with his chances of adding the Supersaloon title this year; saying that he
was looking forward to the Malaysian Super Series this year after concentrating on the
Asia Touring Challenge in Shanghai in 2005.
"We have a very good car and a very good team this year. We also have very good support
from the sponsors," said Jimmy, who thanked JC Racing, Golden Sun Club and MOTUL Oil for
their support.

comment: 0 After the conclusion of last weekend Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, Malaysia racing promoter Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has immediately shift its attention to an entirely different kind of event – drag racing.
Hailed as Malaysia most prestigious drag racing event, the Sepang Drag Battle enters its third year with its 2006 championship opening this Saturday (March 25) at Sepang Circuit and an expected entry of more than 80 cars.
"Drag racing is getting more and more popular with Malaysia’s racing fans and we expect this year championship to be even more exciting than before,"? says SIC General Manager Datuk Ahmad Mustafa.
